My Tips For Staying Healthy
The Basics:
-Eat clean
- Work out when you can (ie. yoga, run, play a game of catch or hide and seek)
-Sleep at least 8 hrs. a night
- Take care of yourself first
- Keep things simple (do not over commit)
- Breathe
- Find a song or artist to listen to (Jesse Ruben, Jack Johnson)
- Find something you love and do it every day
- Be with yourself (ie. reflect on the day, asking yourself how you feel, could you have done anything differently
if so, what?)
I try to practice these rituals daily, because of how I feel afterward. As a high schooler its hard to do this every day, especially when your friends all go out for pizza, and you cant have any :( But, to me feeling good is better than pizza :) While these seem silly and time-consuming, when you practice it enough you begin to notice that you start to crave it. I know that is what happened to me. I know that this is not for everyone, because everyone is different, and we all heal and grow differently. I hope that these help, and give you some ideas of what you might want in your daily routine.
